About CMC

CMC Magnetics Corporation was established in 1978 and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1992, code : 2323.  The Company mainly produces optical storage media and peripheral products, and our excellent optical disc products have obtained various international certifications. We are the world's largest storage media manufacturer.
In 1995, we started to invest in the development of content industry, including: investing in the development and distribution of content products such as music and video, investing in Vieshow Cinemas and the filming of several Chinese films, helping the Group to fully integrate the upstream and downstream businesses of the entertainment industry.
Since 2015, the Group has been leasing the American Military Housing in Shanzihou, Yangmingshan, and has gradually opened restaurants with various dining styles by restoring and renovating the old houses, to create the most beautiful “Beaumont Park” in Yangmingshan.
In 2019, we acquired the business of Verbatim, a global electronic product brand, with sales locations and channels on four continents. The product range includes storage media, electronic peripheral accessories, LED lighting devices, etc. We are also actively developing cloud products in response to the technology trends. 
In 2020, Verbatim accounted for more than 50% of the Group's consolidated revenue and CMC has moved from being the world's largest storage media manufacturer to becoming an international specialist in electrical brands.
Under the leadership of Chairperson Weng, the CMC Group has moved from carriers to content, from technology to entertainment. It is also the only group in Taiwan to have a presence in the leading international storage media brand, the largest entertainment business in Taiwan, and the leisure cultural and creative industries.
